Nancy Barnes is the founder and managing editor of Stories To Tell. She help authors to self-publish with her team of editors, book designers, publishers and book marketers. Nancy has been an award-winning teacher of literature and writing, working the National Writing Project at UC Berkeley. Then she fell in love with graphic design. She created Stories to Tell Books in 1998 to specialize in the design and publishing of complex illustrated books, such as family histories, memoirs, children’s books, business and academic texts, in addition to general fiction and nonfiction. Her specialty is working with authors at every step, even from the draft phase. Nancy has been a national speaker about the process of publishing. Her book, Stories to Tell: An Easy Guide to Self-Publishing Family History Books and Memoirs outlines the process of planning, producing, and publishing an illustrated book. Nancy and her husband, Biff Barnes, live in the Washington DC area. As managing editors they evaluate manuscripts, offer consulting, and coordinate the steps of the authors’ book project, employing editors, designers, marketers, printers, and distributors.

Carmen Berry, MSW, is a New York Times bestselling author, co-founder of Profitable Authors Institute and a book coach who teaches authors now to engage their creativity so they can write one dynamic self-help book after another. She began her career as a social worker, and soon suffered from severe burnout. Her personal difficulties laid the foundation for a new phase in her life when she signed her first publishing contract for the self-help book, When Helping You Is Hurting Me with HarperCollins in 1985. Since then, Carmen has authored, co-authored and ghost written over thirty books. Carmen’s books have been published by large houses such as HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, Penguin and Thomas Nelson, as well as smaller publishers. A veteran of media tours, she has appeared on hundreds of radio and TV shows such as Oprah, Montel and Sally Jesse Rafael, and featured in People Magazine, Newsweek, USA Today and other national and local publications. Frances Caballo is an author, social media manager for writers and founder of Social Media Just for Writers. Holly Lörincz, author and founder of Lörincz Literary Services, has been editing books and professional text for over twenty years. Vickie Mullins’ passion for writing and book production began in college with a Journalism degree. Her love for the design and creation of multi-page print documents was the for her founding Mullins Creative, a boutique graphic design firm, in 1991. In 2005, Vickie authored and published her first book which grew to a series of eight and catapulted her company into book production. She began shepherding authors through the process, enabling them to maintain control and ownership of their books while maximizing the revenue from their book sales. While the majority of her clients write non-fiction, her shelves of completed titles are filled with many genres including true crime, cookbooks, coffee table, romance, special event, children’s and poetry. In an effort to sell her own books, Vickie discovered the strategies and sales opportunities associated with Special Market Campaigns and began selling books by the thousands. David Nassaney, is an author, host of the online radio show, Dave, the Caregiver’s Caregiver, and caregiver for his wife, Charlene, who suffered a massive stroke in 1996, resulting in speech impairment and paralysis on her right side. Dave helps other long-term caregivers to avoid burnout and survive the grief process through his books, a daily blog, a Facebook page that currently has over 33,000 followers and a weekly radio show. He leverages the influence of other experts by interviewing them on his radio show, and engaging them in cross-promoting his broadcasts. He teaches other authors how to set up and grow their own online radio shows.
