Class 4: It’s Not About Your Book, It’s About What Your Content Can Do For Your Sponsor! Here’s where the work begins and the possibilities start to multiply … your book truly becomes a profitable business.
Vickie Mullins’ passion for writing and book production began in college with a Journalism degree. Her love for the design and creation of multi-page print documents was the catalyst for her founding Mullins Creative, a boutique graphic design firm, in 1991. In 2005, Vickie authored and published her first book which grew to a series of eight and catapulted her company into book production. She began shepherding authors through the process, enabling them to maintain control and ownership of their books while maximizing the revenue from their book sales. While the majority of her clients write non-fiction, her shelves of completed titles are filled with many genres including true crime, cookbooks, coffee table, romance, special event, children’s and poetry. In an effort to sell her own books, Vickie discovered the strategies and sales opportunities associated with Special Market Campaigns and began selling books by the thousands. In 2010, she co-founded Perfect Bound Marketing + Press to create tools to teach other authors how to sell books in mass quantities. A member of the National Speakers Association, Vickie has spoken internationally on “Selling Your Books by the Truckload” and family connections, the subject of her books. Vickie lives in Peoria, Arizona. Reach her at www.perfectboundbooks.com
